NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY (NIFT)

National Institute of Fashion Technology is an autonomous institute set up in 1986 offering courses in fashion, designing technology and management. It is a premier institute providing professional human resource to the textile and apparel industry. It shapes the passion for fashion creativity in to a viable career option.

NIFT Conducts Entrance Exams for admission to under graduate and post graduate programs in Fashion Design. It has Doctoral Programs also.

B. Des (Fashion Design), B. Des (Accessory Design), B. Des (Fashion Communication), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) are the 4 years UG programs in the National Institute of Technology. There are approx. 4000 seats in NIFT for all programs together. The Extrance Exam consists of General Ability Test (GAT) and Creativity Ability Test (CAT). Drawing skill is appreciated for Fashion Design Programs.
